About me
Hello all, here is a little about me!
I am a recently single Mother of one fantastic little 4 year old boy! And all of this was inspired by sharing my recipes with the world.
I grew up with an amazing chef at home, my Mum! She taught me a lot from the cooking to baking and was my original inspiration for learning more about creating in the kitchen.
I gained a passion for baking so i ended up working as a full time baker at a coffee shop, creating tasty baked goods like scones, muffins, cookies and so much more!
But i felt like i needed to learn more. So i went on to work at another local Edmonton Restaurant called Under the High Wheel for a handful of years. This is where i continued to learn and love food under two great Chefs who taught me about creating beautiful artistic food from local and fresh, organic ingredients.
But working as a Sous chef meant working evenings and weekends, which unfortunately wasn't a great fit for my lifestyle once my partner and i decided to start building a family together. So i switched careers yet again and i ended up working as a supervisor for a cleaning company (Not super exciting i know). But then we got pregnant so i continued to work until i was to enormous to do anything... and then i gave birth to my beautiful baby boy!
And while i was on maternity leave, learning to be a new mum and spending my days with my sweet boy, i decided to write a cook cook! During his naps and any time i had a few spare minutes i used it writing up recipes and creating my first ever cook book, called Fresh Eats, Home Cooking!
I sold a number of copies to family and friends and i realized that people love my food!
In recent years I've had so many people asking me for particular recipes, i finally decided to make my them available to everyone in an easy to navigate format!
