Tender ground beef mixed up with 2 different mustards, oats, garlic, salt & pepper and a dash of fresh coffee grounds! It sounds weird but its delicious!
INGREDIENTS
½ pound Ground Beef
1 Large Egg
½ cup Oats
3-4 cloves Garlic, pressed
1 tbsp. each of Dijion Mustard and one of Grainy Mustard
2 tsp Fresh Coffee Grounds
1 tsp Salt & Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Start by placing the ground beef in a medium sized mixing bowl. If you are using previously frozen ground beef make sure its well defrosted or otherwise it will be difficult to work with & your hands will be freezing! Prepare a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Set aside for now.
Add in the oats, egg, mustards, ground coffee and salt & pepper. Using your hands, a plastic spatula or wooden spoon, and mix ingredients together until evenly blended. Now using your hands from the meat mixture into balls about the size of a fist. This recipe will make 6-8 good sized patties. Place the formed balls onto the parchment covered baking sheet. Press down on the balls using the flat of your hand, until they are about an 2 inch thick.
You have 2 options for cooking!
The first it to throw them on the BBQ and cook them until they are at your desired doneness.
OR you can just cook them on that parchment covered baking sheet! Set oven to 425 F and cook for 15 minutes, flip and add a few slice of aged cheddar (or not) and cook for another 10 minutes or so until done! Serve & enjoy of a freshly toasted Brioche Bun with all the fixings (spinach or lettuce, tomatoes, sliced pickles, bacon, avocado, Garlic Herb Mayo or regular mayo, mustard or ketchup!
& enjoy!
