Funfetti Cookies

These sprinkle filled cookies are perfect for a birthday party or just if your in the mood for something extra sweet! With crispy crinkly edges and a gooey soft center they are a definite favorite for the kid in all of us.

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cup softened Butter

2 cups White sugar

½ cup Brown sugar

2 large Egg

2 tsp Vanilla

4 ½ cups White Flour

1 ½ tsp Baking Soda

1 tsp Cream of Tartar

1 tsp Salt

1 ½ cups Rainbow Sprinkles

1 tbsp Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

Begin by preheating oven to 350F and preparing two baking sheets with parchment paper, set aside for now.

In the bowl of your stand up mixer cream butter until light and fluffy (for about 2 ½ minutes) then add in sugars and cream together until smooth. Be sure to use a spatula to help incorporate anything that gets stuck to the inside of the bowl. Then add in eggs one at a time, using your spatula in between! Finally adding in vanilla and mix until incorporated.

Measure out dry ingredients into a medium bowl, whisking to combine. Scope 1 cup at a time into your butter and sugar mixture, mixing on a low to medium speed. Continue this process until most of the dry mixture is incorporated. Now you can add your sprinkles in with the last cup of flour and mix thoroughly but be sure not to over mix! If your mixture is on the dry side simply add 1 tbsp of milk and mix until smooth.

Now using a medium sized cookie scoop, scoop cookies onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes until cookies are golden brown on the bottom. Let cool on pans for a few minutes , then transfer to a wire cooling rack. Repeat process until all cookies are baked and golden brown! Enjoy! These cookies will last a week if properly stored in a glass cookie jar or air sealed plastic container.
