A tasty pork shoulder slow cooked in a Cane Sugar Root Beer for 8 hours, on a crisp Chibata bun with a garlic herb mayo, your choice of BBQ sauce and a fresh from scratch Coleslaw!
INGREDIENTS
To make the Pulled Pork:
Slow Cooker
Medium sized Boneless Pork Shoulder
1 bottle of Boylan's Cane Sugar Root Beer
Salt & Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Be sure to start you pork nice and early if you want it ready for supper time! I usually start cooking my pork from when i first wake up in the morning so remember to keep that in mind if you want to be eating this tasty meal by supper time!
Place pork shoulder inside slow cooker, pour root beer over roast and season with salt & pepper. Set cooker to level one and then go about your day! I like to turn it once through the cooking process and season the other side with more salt & pepper but its not totally necessary.
Allow roast to cook for at least 8 hours to ensure maximum tenderness. Once cooked through carefully remove from slow cooker and place pork on a large cutting board. Rip apart with tongs or even two forks. Pork should break apart nicely.
Now that pork is broken into stripes season lightly once more with salt & pepper.
If your like you can your favorite BBQ sauce over meat and mix through but i prefer giving a few different choices of favorite sauce and let people choose for themselves!
